So a lot of albums have come out the past 6 weeks (non-hip hop) and I finally took time this morning to listen to them all and these are must-haves.
Glenn Lewis. Sooo glad he’s back. Missed his voiced immensely. “Moment Of Truth” drops Tuesday. Only album here not out yet.
I absolutely love the Haim album. If you are a fan of how good 80s Pop felt you will love it.
Mack Wilds. Not a fan of his voice really but if you are a fan of the half singing that’s popular right now (drake, frank ocean, the weeknd) mixed with immaculate production from the 90s you will love love love this joint because it got me even though I’m not a fan of any of the above voices.
The Salaam Remi (with the exception of 2 singers) is the perfect mix of immaculate production and vocals.
Wasn’t a fan of John Legend’s last couple of projects. They put me straight to sleep. But he won me back with “Love in the Future.” It’s almost as good as “Get Lifted.” And I don’t think he’ll ever top that genius.
Jaheim usually gives you that straight big heart hood love but this time around he mixes in sexing. You would think R. Kelly wrote some of the songs. Not a must-have but I like it.
Lyfe Jennings and The Foreign Exchange = if it ain’t broke don’t fix it so if you liked their previous words you’ll like their new ones.
I refused to listen to the new KCi & Jojo and the Musiq/Syleena Johnson reggae collab album. I have no time for crackhead notes and R&B patois. But I am looking forward to the Toni Braxton/Babyface album dropping on
